If kids start getting baptized at 8-12, there is going to be a s*** load of dfings and reprovings in the next 5-10 years.
Teenagers are teenagers after all, baptized or not.
i know dubs are delusional.
i know dubs don't reason well.
i know dubs are a bit off, like many groups.

my mom called me yesterday to ask how i was doing.
i hadn't seen her in a while, so it was nice to hear her voice.
we went through the motions of jw small talk and then she started telling me about her co visit from last week.
Maybe we might actually literally start to worship the GB...
or maybe not
apologies if this has already been posted but i am speechless.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnbmyudrwgs&x-yt-ts=1422327029&x-yt-cl=84838260#t=72.
WTF is this s***?!!?
i would like to give my opinion of each gb member.
i would probably split them into 3 groups.. group 1 - the hardliners.
tony the 3rd: he knows exactly what hes's doing and saying.
I would like to give my opinion of each GB member. i Would probably split them into 3 Groups.
Group 1 - The Hardliners
Tony the 3rd: He knows exactly what hes's doing and saying. Defiantly has an agenda. Pretty nasty piece of work if any of his rants of late are to go by.
David Splane: Pretty much similar Tony the 3rd, but he seems to be a bit more old fashioned than the rest, as one comment he made during annual meeting about using real bible instead of tablet. I would imagine him and Tony are vying for "top dog"
Sam Herd: Also a nasty piece of work. I also feel he is a clever guy, as you would never have gotten to GB member, being mixed raced, in the era he grew up. And clever people usually can think up clever ideas. (or not so clever, depends which angle you look at it)
A common thread among these 3 are they are outspoken and bigoted. These 3 would probably be the guys who have the "new ideas", and beat the other 4 into submission
Group 2- The Blinded
Stephen Lett: This guy is quite clearly mentally unstable, and i also think he believes this stuff 100%. Thinks he's gods spokesman and all that. Apparently all those faces he pulls isn't an act. Apparently he's done it for years. He would never become GB member if he was in the same position back then as he is now. NOT.A.CHANCE
Loesch: He looks like he really doesn't give a S*** any more, and wouldn't be surprised if he absconded back to Austria under the guise of being "persecuted" by lawyers wanting him to take the stand. Wouldn't shock me either if he was a non believer. Just on the gravy train.
Mark Sanderson: Popular with singletons and younger people. Seems quite friendly, although in 20 years time (if he dosnt have a heart attack...have you seen the size of him?!?!) he will defiantly be "top dog". Even so, i think he could be in the same waters as Jeff Jackson...
Group 3- Reformer
Jeff Jackson: If there was any guy, i think, capable of reforming the WT it's this guy. Still pretty blinded, but he does look like he's a bit of a loose cannon, smiling and joking and looks like he would be good to get along with. Maybe he'll be another Ray Franz, maybe the GB WT would kill him off before it gets to that. But that's delving into the realms of conspiracy theory.
Just my thoughts.
well, we survived the first month at least!
yes, the new forum is now 1 month old.. of course there have been some issues and i'm grateful that people have been patient while i worked on them.
a big thank-you to everyone who's been patient, have provided useful feedback or just been willing to adapt to something new during the transition.. i've also made some improvements along the way and am fairly happy with how things are from a basic functionality and performance perspective so it's time to start looking at some of the new features i've been planning.
I quite liked reading the posts in the old forum, when it showed the post count and join date of the member. Don't have that any more. Only been posting since the new site, so cant compare in that aspect.
So post count count and join date would be good.
EDIT: Forget that, worked it out.
if you sacrifice your life for something - that is devotion to the highest degree and can in certain context constitute worship.. .
as has been discussed many times on this forum, the blood doctrine of being willing to sacrifice life to honor a symbol of life (blood) is ludicrous (see this excellent thread by cofty http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/273265/my-explanation-why-they-got-wrong-about-blood-using-only-nwt?page=1).
it is also idolatry.... .
Heisenberg. There are many things in this life to die for. But God is not one of them. God would not want us to sacrifice our self for a belief. Life is too precious. Your illustration of a child is flawed, as this is human nature and you would be a lunatic if you didn't try and save the child or anyone else for that matter.
Which is what doctors try to do right? save our life by any means possible?
if you, like me, have noticed the sudden increase in hysteria in the khs right now, i put it down to that jw tv site.
its's far more extensive than i thought it was, i thought it was just 1, 1 hour program a month.
there's a s*** load of videos on that site.. and the real problem, from just watching a clip from each video, is that these guys are clearly "mentally unstable".
Interesting comments. Perhaps it might not go down the route of Jonestown, but someone made a comment of kicking out the fence sitters. The recent figure of visiters to JW org every day was sumat like 1.2 million. There are 8 million JWs in the world. Say 1 million hard core dubs are visiting the site every day, with room for 200,000 other visitors, we're talking about 87.5% of dubs are fence sitters and could potentially leave.
If 87.5% JWs leave the religion, they are also going to need 87.5% less property.
The recent figure of property owned was 88,000 mentioned in a thread about LDC seminar.
So 87.5% of 88,000 is 77,000. They could potentially sell 77,000 properties. And if the main backbone of the religion is in Africa and south america, most of the property being sold off is in the western world. (Hope i got the figures right)
And because it will be people leaving the religion, there is no chance a prosecution could take place. (i think)
There is going to be some very rich people very soon.

And the real problem, from just watching a clip from each video, is that these guys are clearly "mentally unstable". You can can almost see the madness in their eyes. Not just the GB members either, all of the other guys from bethel who give their parts.
Mentally unstable people who are put on a pedestal where a potential 8 million people swallow everything that is said is a very very scary reality.
I have noticed a marked change in people, their conversations, their actions, in the past 3-4 months, and it is darn right scary. Its mind control & maybe even hypnosis to a high degree.
I previously thought this religion would go on and on, but i have a sneaking suspicion something very sinister is in the pipeline.
WT next week shows a picture of the group huddled in a basement. So dubs are going to expect something is imminent. all it takes is for every JW to be huddled into a KH for a live broadcast for something truly worrying to happen.
Thoughts?
i thought we needed carpenters and plumbers in paradise...oh well... the hypocrisy.
to all bodies of elders in the united states branch territoryre: experienced attorneys and paralegals needed at bethel.
dear brothers:.
this week we have mention of the 12 tribes of israel in the bible study.
we have the same thing mentioned in the wt this week.
12 apostles are also mentioned (need to double check that one).

Perhaps a few more examples and explanations will come up before the AGM in order for them to reference back.
I would put money on them going for the whole 12 GB idea this year, i'm actually pretty surprised they haven't already gone down this route.
Thoughts?
